Maria Antonia Martinez

Maria’s legacy lives on by her mother, Evelia Lopez Noguera; her husband, Jairo Francisco Martinez; her children, Evelin Beatriz Nicholson, Melissa Yajaira Martinez, and Jonathan Francisco Martinez; her grandchildren, Gabby Yajaira Mendez, Arya Marie Macedo, Eris Julianna Nicholson, Alfredo Wenceslao Macedo, and Antonio James Nicholson; and finally, her siblings, Robert Antonio Lopez, Teresa de Jesus Galloway, Maritza A Lopez Noguera, Rigoberto Isaias Lopez, Isai Lopez, and Nelson Lopez.

On June 13th, 1969, Maria was born to her parents, Humberto Lopez and Evelia Noguera, in Nandaime, a small village in Nicaragua. In her teenage years, Maria immigrated to the U.S. with her father and lived in a refugee home until she met her husband, Jairo Francisco Martinez. Once married, Maria worked hard to build a life and family with her husband, and she had three children. Despite all the struggles, Maria found strength in her faith as a Jehovah’s Witness and was able to provide a life for her children.

Being a strong-willed and independent woman, Maria managed to work as a laboratory technician for a well-known beauty company and worked there until she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in April 2021. Maria lived her life to the fullest despite her illness by her love of traveling and exploring different countries with her husband by going on cruises or simply staying home and being with her children and grandchildren.

Maria was a funny, fun-loving woman who would not let any inconvenience deter her from her goals and ambitions. She was the glue that held everyone in place and the ray of light that supported anyone who needed help. Maria was an intelligent, funny, loving woman, wife, and an amazing mother who would be deeply missed by family, friends, and anyone who knew and loved her. Maria will always live on in our hearts. We love you.

Maria Antonia Martinez, una mujer Nicaragüense inmigrante convertida en ciudadana y residente de Houston, Texas, terminó su larga batalla con cáncer el segundo de Marzo 2025.

La memoria de Maria vive en su madre, Evelia Lopez Noguera; su esposo, Jairo Fransico Martinez, sus hija(o), Evelin Beatriz Nicholson, Melissa Yajaira Martinez, y Jonathan Fransico Martinez; sus nietos Gabby Yajaira Mendez, Arya Marie Macedo, Eris Julianna Nicholson, Alfredo Wenceslao Macedo, y Antonio James Nicholson; y finalmente en sus hermanos, Robert Antonio Lopez, Teresa de Jesus Galloway, Maritaza A lopez Noguera, Rigoberto Isaias Lopez, Isai Lopez, y Nelson Lopez.

En Junio 13, 1969 Maria nacio de la union de sus padres Humberto Lopez y Evelia Noguera, en la region de Nandaime un pequeño pueblo en Nicaragua. En su adolescencia Maria emigró a Estados Unidos con su padre y vivió en un refugio para desamparados allí conoció a su esposo. Una vez casados, Maria trabajó muy duro al lado de su esposo para construir una vida y poder darle a su familia lo mejor de ellos. A pesar de todas las luchas, Maria encontró la fortaleza y esperanza como testigo de Jehová y fue capaz de proporcionar una vida a sus hijos.

Siendo una mujer independiente, María logró trabajar como técnica de laboratorio para una empresa de belleza, Farouk Systems, y trabajó allí hasta que la diagnosticaron cancer de pancreas en abril de 2021. Maria vivió su vida al máximo a pesar de su enfermedad por su amor por viajar y explorar diferentes países con su marido o simplemente quedarse en casa y estar con sus hijos y nietos.

Maria era una mujer divertida, y amante de viajar en los cruceros que no dejaría que ningún inconveniente la disuadiera de sus objetivos y ambiciones. Ella era el pegamento que mantenía a todos en su lugar y el rayo de luz que apoyaba a cualquiera que necesitaba ayuda. Maria era una mujer inteligente, divertida, amorosa, esposa y una madre increíble a la que extrañaremos profundamente, siempre estarás en nuestros corazones por siempre te amamos.
