

2020. She was born in Chicago, IL on August 1, 1976 to Emilio Sandoval and Rosalina
Sandoval. She was married to Isac Godinez for 26 years. She Survived by her husband Isac and her sons, Miguel and Jose.
Maria passed away due to Lung complications despite having diabetes. She was a loving sister to Benjamin, Emilio Jr and Nataly Sandoval.
Maria started working at Mid-America Bank in 1998 and as of 2019 she worked with Chicago Teachers Union. Maria was the first Mexican-American generation to be born into the United States. She paved
the road for many other generations to come.
As she knew this life would not be easy, she kept living a happy life along with her family. As she battled Diabetes at the age of 13 years old, she has gone through numerous surgeries, including 3 kidney transplants and 1 pancreas transplant. She had two children that she loved very much, Jose Maria Godinez and Miguel Angel Godinez. Despite feeling sick most days, Maria would make sure her family was happy.
Whether it was helping getting a party going to helping with medical decisions, she was there.
She was available whether or not she was admitted to a hospital. She was adored by everyone
she came in touch with. Maria was a strong and courageous person with a beautiful personality.
Our lord Jesus Christ has gained an angel to continue to look after everyone she loved.
Rest in peace Maria.
There will be a Memorial Service held for family and friends at a later date.
