Marie was a devoted and beloved member of Deerbrook (formerly Kinwood) Church of Christ. She served in key roles throughout her adult life, influencing many generations.
Marie was a stay-at-home mom through most of the school years of her children. She began working part-time as a merchandiser for American Greetings in 1979 and remained in that role for more than 28 years. She was named Territory Merchandiser of the Year in 1996 and 2007.
Marie was an active member of the Humble Senior Center until it closed in 2020, including traveling with friends on many bus trips throughout the nation.
She is survived by her children Steven Crowe and partner Stacy Summerlin, Russell Crowe and spouse Marilyn, David Crowe and spouse Cheri, Brenda Crowe Baldwin and spouse Alan Wilhelm, and Ginger Crowe; 8 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM Sunday, March 16 at Brookside Funeral Home (13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039). A service will follow at 1:30 PM.
