

Marilyn Bettler Walton, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother peacefully passed away March 9,2025 in Houston, Texas at age 91.
She was born September 28, 1933 in Reading, PA to John and Laura Bettler.
Marilyn married her high school sweetheart, Robert Walton on January 30, 1954 in Shillington, PA.
They embarked on a corporate life which took them to Charleston, WV, Luling, LA, Basking Ridge NJ, Seabrook, TX and Naperville, IL. Along the way Marilyn gained new friends and participated in her favorite activities of bridge, tennis, golf and volunteering in the community. She was a life long active member of the United Methodist Church. After raising a family, Marilyn worked as a travel agent in Naperville.
Upon retirement, Marilyn and Robert moved to Sun City West, AZ where she loved the active community lifestyle and desert climate. She had the opportunity to explore many countries in Europe on river cruises as well as trips to Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Mexico. One memorable cruise was the celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary with family. We fondly remember her stories of the past and her infectious laughter.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Robert, daughter Diane (Brad), Joanne, Sandra, five grandchildren, Cort (Katy), Kelly (Matthew), Jeff, James, and Leslie, six great-grand children, brother John in Shillington, PA as well nieces and nephew.
The family will gather for a private celebration of life to commemorate Marilyn’s kindness, gentle way, and maternal love.
