Marita Smith

Marita was preceded in death by her loving husband Bernard and her parents, Les and Grayce Ford. She is now reunited with her loving husband in heaven.

Marita loved her family dearly. She loved being called Mom, Grandma, Gma and Great Granny. Marita loved spending time with her children and their families and traveling to see the ones that lived quite a distance away from her.

She is survived by her daughter Leslie Buckle and her three sons Shawn Smith, Christopher Smith and Patrick Smith. Marita had eight fabulous grandchildren: Katherine Kozokaro and her husband Maor, Brian Buckle, Chandler Smith and his wife Maddie, Sammie Smith, Brock Smith, Mia Smith, Taylor Smith and Hanna Smith. She loved holding her first great grandchild, Ronen Kozokaro.

Marita loved to gather with friends. She enjoyed the Pecan Grove Women’s club and having lunch with friends and family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 11, 2024 from 11-1pm. at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077 . Please gather with us to remember and celebrate Marita.
