

Marjorie Mae Cooper was the only child born to Lottie Mae Davis and Willie Collier in Sandy Point Texas. She was born on March 9, 1932. Before moving to Houston Texas, she lived in Rosharon Texas. In her youth, she attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church for her schooling.
After moving to Houston, she attended Jack Yates High School. After graduating, she became the proud mother of Donnie Collier Sr., followed by two daughters, Cappyola Cooper and Marzorie Cooper. Shortly after having her son Donnie Collier, she purchased her home in Sunny Side and remained in her home for 70 years. She was a faithful attendee of The Real Truth Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Marjorie was a hardworking Nurses Aid, clothing presser and cleaning specialist. After retirement, she opened an in-home neighborhood candy store. As a result, she built relationships with everyone in the neighborhood. She was loved by many and known to everyone as Ms. Marjie.
Now in her heavenly afterlife, she will join her mother, Lottie Mae Davis, her father Willie Collier and her beloved son Donnie Collier Sr.
She leaves behind her two daughters, Cappyola Campbell and Marzorie Tooks. Between her three children, she has ten grandchildren, Donnie Collier Jr. (Wife Melody Collier), Dawnisha Collier, Dominus Collier, D’ Arius Collier (Wife Celeste Collier), Lee Mayshack (Partner Anfernee Giddings), Lire Spencer, Terry Keys Jr. (Wife Jackie Keys), Kesha Byrd, Jacob Keys (Wife Andrea Keys), and Terrence Keys. From her ten grandchildren, she leaves behind eleven great-grandchildren, Donovan Collier, Kailcee Collier, Ta’ Liyah Collier, Te’ Yanah Collier, Jadon Green, Terry Keys III, Jacey Keys, Audrianna Byrd, Duran Byrd, Sabrie Keys and Zaylee Keys. A memorial service for Marjorie will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088.
