Marjorie J Fournerat

Marjorie Jean Fournerat 94 years of age, resident of Cypress, Texas went peacefully to be with the Lord October 19, 2025.

Marjorie was born April 24,1931 in Lake Charles, Louisiana Calcasieu Parish. She is the daughter of Joseph Adam Borel Sr. and Gladys Christine Henry. She graduated from La Grange High School in 1949 where she was crowned Homecoming Queen. At the age of Twenty, she married Iland Joseph Fournerat on January 22, 1951, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Marjorie and Iland eventually moved to Houston, Texas where they completed their family with a total of six children. Marjorie was a devoted Mother, Homemaker and Retail Administrator. Marjorie was a hard-working woman who loved God, gardening, reading, old movies, animals, good food and her family with all her heart.

Marjorie was a Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, a Great-Great Grandmother and she was loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Gladys Borel, Brother Sonny Borel, Brother Charlie Borel, Brother Jimmy Borel, Brother Lynn Borel, Husband Iland Fournerat, Daughter Rhonda Geffs, and her son Son John Fournerat.

She is survived by her Daughter Brenda Fournerat, Son Patrick Fournerat, Daughter Monique Gregg, son Brien Fournerat, Daughter-in-law Diane Fournerat, daughter-In-Law Sheree Fournerat, Son-In-Law Steve Gregg and too many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren to count.

Funeral Arrangements are being handled by Dignity Memorial/Garden Oaks Funeral Home. The Funeral will be held on Monday October 27, 2025 at Houston National Cemetery 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive Houston, Texas 77038 at 9:45 a.m.
