Martha Ruth Pye, age 95, of Spring, Texas passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021. Martha was born to Bessie and Richard Hairgrove on March 7, 1926 in Chireno, Texas. She was the 4th child of 11 children. Martha is preceded in death by her husband Chirpy Pye. Martha is survived by her children Charlene Matlock, Sylvia Bates and husband Roger, Sidney Pye III and wife Jerry, Potty Powers and husband Muncie, Terry Lee Pye and wife LaDonna, Joe Pye and wife Charlotte; grandchildren Sidney Pye IV, Jody Sydow, Sheila Kunz, Muncie Powers Jr., Burt Lee Powers, Cassie Cole, Katie Pye, Jamie Bates, Terry Lee Pye Jr.; and great-grandchildren Bradley James Bates, Cody Powers, Cole Powers, Casey Powers, Everitt Pye, Paisley Lucas, Emily Powers, Cooper Powers, Meredith Kunz, Carolyn Kunz, Conrad Cole and Jules Cole.
A visitation for Martha will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, followed by a funeral service from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
