Martha A. Raudsep, beloved wife of the late John G. Raudsep, passed away peacefully on Dec.3, surrounded by many of her daughters Nancy Commisso, Fran Murphy (Pat), Susan Knight, Carole Short, Alicia Jansen (Eric); sons Douglas Rooks (Cindi), John O. Raudsep ( Peggy Einnehmer); 20 grandchildren and spouses, and 30 great grandchildren. Her first child, Frank Thomas Rooks, died in 1948. She will be remembered by many friends, especially at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church.
Martha served in the Stephen Ministry, the Alzheimer's Care Team, and was a member of Bridgebuilders. Her career started in the War Department and included the Spring Branch Public Schools and Coca-Cola. After retirement, she and her husband traveled around the world, sharing a 25-year love affair! Martha was a loving, joyful, and energetic wife, friend, mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose greatest pleasure was being surrounded by those she loved. She has gone to live in the house of her Lord, but her love remains in all of us. Memorial service will be Dec.7, at 11a.m. at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church.
Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church's Caring Forever Foundation and Alzheimer's Care Team.
