My deepest condolence to Mary's family and friends. A special person has passed but her memory will be held tight by many.

To my dear wife Liz, sisters-in-law Mary (Fi), Peggy, Katie and Suzie and brother-in-law John, I want to again say how sorry I am for your loss - for our loss.  You mother was simply the best.  Funny, smart, beautiful, elegant, unpretentious.  You are all very lucky to have experienced so many good times with her and your father.  I feel extremely privileged to have shared some of those times.  Mary and Al are appropriately together again, at peace sitting by the pool or at the beach, with an eternal bottle of Scotch.  Your mother was also very lucky.  You are wonderful children who always took care of her, never more so than in the last year and a half when she needed you most.  You were with her, in her final days and hours, and no parent could have been more proud and wanted any more than that.

I am so very sad at my dear friend Mary's passing.  She was a very special lady who didn't have an enemy in the world.  I have know her since she was ten years old and she was always special.  Loved her outlook on life, always upbeat, so very kind and generous.  Al and Mary had a special bond and it was lovely to see. My deepest sympathy goes out to her children and their families.  She will surely be missed, but will live in your hearts forever.  Rest in Peace dear friend.

Mary McDonald Boulos was every inch a solid rock of strength, kindness and goodness.  She brought her sweetness from the Canadian Shield to Columbia University where she met the love of her life.  
We only have joyous memories of Mary & Al (with the help of God) as they built the unique and wonderful Alfred J. Boulos Family.

It is with such a heavy heart that I write to you.

An amazing woman. 
I have had the privilege of knowing Mary for most of my life, long enough to miss the effervescent nature of her personality,  her wittiness, and the kindness of her character, which came so naturally to her. 

For around 40 years, Mary and Mom have been the greatest of friends, and although oceans kept them from frequent visits, they always kept in touch, visited when they could, and Mary sent those wonderful Christmas cards! 
A truly amazing friend to so many.


Al has been waiting with open arms for Mary's arrival, they've missed each other.
You were given the most amazing parents, who in turn, raised the most wonderful children. The center of their universe. 
They will be eternally proud of their greatest achievements. You each held a place in her heart, a different place for each person, that undeniable love, a mother's love.

Her heart will always be yours, and her love for you eternal. 

My thoughts, love, blessings and best wishes go out to you all at this time, Mary is definitely irreplaceable.

I am truly saddened to hear of your Mother's passing.  She was MY BEST FRIEND.  We shared so many wonderful times - since 1971.  I have so many fond memories of your Mother and Dad and of all of you, watched you grow up, and now know you as adults.

Your Mother was an amazing woman and I miss her so much. 
Your Dad always said I was her sister - so that makes me Auntie Eileen and I will be there for each of you if you ever need to talk, etc.  I am so sorry that I couldn't be there in Houston but I am with you in my thoughts, prayers and spirit.  I'll be in touch.

Dear Boulos Sisters and Brother,

I had the great good fortune to have Mary as my mother-in-law for nearly 25 years. She was a great friend, supporter, advisor and surrogate mother. We  had many, many good times together and laughed a lot. She also was one of the most interesting, wise and thoughtful persons I have ever known.

It is an enormous loss --  the irreplaceable cannot be replaced. But I hope you are consoled by her joyous life and the fact that each of you, and all of you - together with your father - were the center of that wonderful life.

She is together with Al now, and that is a great consolation.  They were inseparable and now they are back together, which is where they belong.

I hope that brings a measure of peace during this difficult and sad time.
