Mary Esther Broadhead Beard

She was born in Sacramento California to Clyde and Iola Packard on September 28, 1936. After graduating from high school she attended Brigham Young University. Mary Esther was married to Maeser Broadhead for 13 years and Robert Beard for 6 years.

Mary Esther was a fun-loving person and enjoyed spending time with her family, working in her yard, playing the piano, making people happy and loved to make you laugh.

She is survived by her children David Broadhead and wife Magdalena, Michael Broadhead and wife Lori, grandchildren, Maison Broadhead and wife Pamela, Valen Broadhead, Brandice Hawkins and husband Barrett, Nick Broadhead and wife Charelle, Nate Broadhead, Cortney Wright and husband Cole, McKenzie and husband Trey, 13 great-grandchildren, and sister Kathy Riggs and husband Alfred.

Mary Esther was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Iola Packard, second husband Robert Beard Jr., her sister Shirley Quigley, and grandson Adrian Broadhead.

A visitation for Mary will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A committal service will occur Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
