Mary Helen Arredondo-Fisher

Mary Hellen was born in Texas City, TX on May 12, 1929. She was the second child of Dora and Rudolph Tarin.

She left a lot of wonderful memories and accomplishments in Houston, TX some of which were President of T.O.P.S, and President of The Senior Center at Clark Community Center. She earned certificates from the Houston Police Department and numerous charities. She loved baking and decorating cakes for numerous events plus all of the neighbors on Mayford Street.

Mary Helen was preceded in death by her husbands, Alfonso "Pete" Arredondo and John Fisher; son Benny Robert Arredondo; daughter Theresa Julson; son Pete Arredondo; father, Rudolph Tarin; mother, Dora Alexander; sister Delores Kennedy and sons-in-law, Ben Julson, Carl Dyess Jr and John Berry.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Mary Margaret Arredondo Berry Dyess of Del Valle and sons James Arredondo (Tammy) of Magnolia and Rudy Arredondo (Sara) of Spring; grandchildren Andrew (Beth), Russell, Deanna (Tommy), Clint, Toni, Jaime (Tammy), Helen (Sean), AJ, Crissy, Hannah (Nelson), Whitney (Mitchell), Charlene (Bruce), Dean, and Taryn (Trey); great-grandchildren, Gracie, Jonathan, Benjamin, Alex, Nicholas, Juleann, McKayla, Ethan, Wesley, Elijah, Craig, Yazmin, Jaime II, Jonathan, Cheyenne, Vanessa, Jacob, Mariah, Xavier, Amberlyn, AJ Jr., Gianna, Sam, September, Sean, Vivien, Bruce III, Bryson, Samantha, Alexis; great-great-grandchildren, Mary Evelyn, Hairam, Declan, Caiden, Violet and Lilliana and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.

The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help, dedication and care given by Marge Starkey and staff at St. David’s South Austin Hospital.

A visitation for Mary Helen will be held Monday, June 19, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Pat H. Foley & Company in Houston, TX. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Brookside Cemetery in Houston, Texas 77039.
