Mary Josephine Martines

She was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 30, 1941 to Edward and Sarah Wilson. She was married to Daniel Martines, Sr for 60 years.

Mary worked in the circulation department for Newsday in Long Island, New York for a little over 18 years, then for several years at Gulf Oil after relocating to Texas in 1978. After leaving Gulf Oil she spent the remainder of her working years taking care of all paperwork needed for Daniel’s fireplace installation company.

Mary had a great passion for reading romance novels and Sy-Fy books, going camping with family, as well as bowling with her husband. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, and she was endlessly proud of her husband and all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren!

She was preceded in death by her Father and Mother Edward and Sarah Wilson, brothers John Wilson and Edward Wilson, sisters Sally Kelly and Margaret Shumway.

She is survived by her husband Daniel Martines Sr., son Daniel (spouse Chrissy) Martines Jr., and daughter Mary-Jo Hermann. Her Grandchildren Wesley (spouse Lauren) Garza, Brandi (spouse Anthony) Williams, Mark Hermann, Christopher (spouse Florence) Spradling, Shelby White, and Ahmed Habib. Her Great-Grandchildren Kairi Flores, Macie Garza, Amy Williams, Niklaus Williams, Sebastion Spradling, Noah Hermann, Logan Woods, Chloe Garza, and Leo White.
