Mary graduated from Night School in California and received her GED. Mary had two loves in her life. She met Jerry Reich in Hot Springs, Arkansas on December 2, 1960 and they knew each other 3 weeks prior to being married on December 26, 1960, they were married 43 years. After Jerry’s passing Mary rekindled her friendship with David Delorey whom she met on Travis AFB, California in 1963. They were married on May 15, 2015 and were married almost 10 years. Mary had worked for the City Of Houston as an Airport Communications Operator and for Houston Lighting and Power as a Sr. Credit Advisor. She had a passion for making quilts, potholders and bowls. She loved scuba diving, motorcycles, all music and cooking for her family. She had a deep love for her family and just spending time with them and friends.
If you knew her, she never met a stranger and if you were her friend you were her friend for life. Her favorite series was Twilight. Mary was never shy when it came to dancing the jitterbug. She made quilts for all her children and grandchildren. The last quilt she finished was for Eric and Lindsey. It was by far the hardest and turned out absolutely phenomenal. A special thanks to Donna McDonald for all her help and dedication. She enjoyed traveling and seeing the sights of Central Maine with her sweetheart, David. They never went anywhere without holding hands. Mary's faith, what can we say, it was undeniably beautiful. Before she passed she told us "I'm ready to close my eyes, go to sleep and go home to be with my Jesus". If you knew her you knew she carried Jesus in her heart and soul. Jesus gave her, her heart's desire and took her home.
