Mary T. (Sue) Stewart, 81, passed 1-20-2014, Houston, Texas. She was born in Picayune, Mississippi to Harry Glendon Townsend and Margaret Townsend. She married her high school sweetheart, James I. Stewart. Big Jim predeceased her 28 years ago.
Mary worked for both Mobil Oil and Exxon long before they became ExxonMobil in New Orleans. Sue and Jim moved to Houston in 1973 where Sue worked for Brown and Root as an executive secretary for many years.
Mary is predeceased by husband James I. Stewart; her parents, Harry Glendon Townsend and Margaret Townsend; daughter, Susan Brown; sister, Margaret Tate; and brother, Timothy Tate.
She is survived by Patricia S. Pena and husband Alfredo Pena of Cypress, Texas, and five grandchildren: Warren Pena of Plano, Texas, Samantha Pena of Houston, Texas, Austin Pena of San Antonio, Texas, James Brown of Reno, Nevada and Kilty L. Brown of Casper, Wyoming and three great grandchildren.
