Mason’s early life and education reflected his disciplined and determined nature. He attended Travis High School, then earned a B.S. from the University of Houston, and later completed a J.D. at South Texas College of Law.
Outside of his studies and professional pursuits, Mason found joy in simple, meaningful pastimes. He enjoyed basketball, reading books, and video games—interests that brought him both relaxation and connection with friends and loved ones.
Mason was best known for his passion for orphans, particularly in Vietnam. He traveled yearly to serve the Buddhist community by donating funds and his time to assist with the care and treatment of orphans and orphanages in Vietnam. He also participated in the activities of Temple Dia Tang in Rosenberg, Texas, and Viet Nam Temple in Houston, Texas, offering his support with quiet dedication and sincere compassion.
Mason is preceded in death by his father, Dung V. Le, and his grandfather, Tuyen U. Doan.
He is survived by his grandmother, Tuong V. Nguyen; his mother, Tam T. Doan; his brother, Binh Q. Le; his step father, Randall Sadler; his uncle, Hung V. Doan; his aunts, Huong T. T. Doan, Van T. T. Doan, and Nga T. T. Doan; and his cousins, Jennifer U. Do, Julie P. Do, Khoa Dinh, Nhat Dinh, Lillian Doan, and Tuan Nguyen.
