Matthew Isaiah Washington

Matthew Isaiah WASHINGTON, age 13, of Cypress, Texas passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Matthew was born April 23, 2008.On April 23, 2008, a handsome son was born to Fred and Alvina Washington. They together would name him Matthew. From the very beginning Matthew’s foundation was built on faith. He attended Crossbridge Christian and Cypress Independent Schools.

At an early age, Matthew had a love for music and reading. He loved watching YouTube. He regularly sang along with his favorite shows such as Descendants and High School Musical. Matthew loved playing video games with his twin sister. His favorite book was the Diary of the Wimpy Kid. Matthew was always excited and loved participating in the family’s annual Christmas Story Reading.

Matthew played baseball with the YMCA. His favorite buddy always looked forward to seeing him. Matthew was a constant source of encouragement to his siblings, mother and father. He brought love, joy and compassion to every one he touched.

God gently laid Matthew down to rest on September 22, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his brother Andrew, paternal grandfather Fred P Washington and aunt Tanya Davis.

His life and love will always live on in the hearts of his devoted parents Fred and Alvina Washington; loving twin sister Maegan, sister Elysia, grandparents Michael and Willie Mae Robertson, Melida Burleson, Alvin Kennedy; aunts Sabrina, Queen, Trixie, Teresa, Enna, Byrena, LaKethia, Kyra, uncle Keith, a host of cousins, other loving relatives and friends will all miss him dearly.
