Clarence and Frances Scott. McAllen, affectionately known as Josey Wales, transitioned from this life
on the morning of December 15, 2024.
McAllen was adventurous and decided to leave home at the age of 16 to move to Houston. He
attended Reagan High School and soon after pursued his dream of entrepreneurship as a tile finisher.
He remained dedicated to his craft until his health failed.
In June of 1974, McAllen married Claretha Gray, and two children were born from this union.
McAllen was so many things. Dad, friend, uncle, son, husband, brother, cousin. Caretaker…McAllen was
always helping and providing a home, a meal, and financial help to any and everyone who needed it.
He also provided a scolding if you needed it too. McAllen had many nicknames Mac from Mexico,
Mr. International but the one that stuck the most was The Outlaw Josey Wales.
McAllen was a hard-working man who LOVED his family. In his free time, he enjoyed barbecuing and
being the life of the party, whether it was a family gathering or a party you could always find him
talking trash, telling jokes and dancing to the music he loved. His laughter was contagious, and he
made sure everyone around him had a great time.
McAllen, full of charisma, exemplified compassion and an open-minded free spirit. He was a
dreamer, a visionary. He always extended a warm welcome to everyone who came into his circle,
with kindness and generosity without hesitation. McAllen taught us how to love people, to truly
listen and pay attention to what people say and do. He taught us how to love and how to forgive.
McAllen was proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents Love and Emma Carlton; paternal
grandparents Dock and Luvenia Scott; father, Clarence Scott, wife; Claretha Scott; son, Marcus Scott;
nephews; Kevin Scott, Keith Scott and half-brother, Billy Richardson.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Felisha Williams (Martin Jr and Cierra), LaToya
Scott (George), Chantierra Grant (Chloe); son, Dameon (Daven, Amajine, Bryson, Rylee); grandsons
Detric Cloud and Christian Scott. A special cousin who was like a son, Damien Scott; brothers, Leon Scott,
Samuel Scott (Jeanette), Larry Scott, and Karl Scott; sisters Luvenia Bledsoe, Emma Scott, Hazel McDaniel
(Joeddie), and Sandy Scott; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and
friends.
McAllen will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those
who loved him
