

Melba Mae Muske, 82 years of age was born on March 15, 1930 in Carmine, Texas to Alfred Spies and Delta Albers Spies. Melba entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 7, 2012 in Houston, Texas. She was a proud retiree of Houston Independent School District after 25 years of service. She is reunited with her husband of 31 years, Leander Muske; parents and two brothers, Allen and Edison Spies. Melba leaves to cherish fond memories, her daughter, Darlene Ellison and husband James; son, Darrell Muske and wife Judy; five grandchildren, Sheila Lee, Steven Ellison and wife Tressa, Ashley Nations, Amanda Muske and Bryan Muske and wife Laurie; seven great-grandchildren, Christina Lee, Corissa Lee, Scott Dalegara, Frank Dalegara, Delaney Nations, KayLee Saxon and Hunter Ellison and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Pat H. Foley & Co. Melba will be laid to rest at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions can be made in honor of Melba Muske to St. James Lutheran Church, 1602 W. 43rd St., Houston, Texas 77018 or Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 4040 Watonga Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77092.
