Mery Sara Zermeno was born in San Salvador on March 31, 1958. The Civil War in the early 1980's led her family to the United States. Not to long after her arrival she met a worship music leader in the local church. What started as piano lessons turned into a courtship and soon after an engagement. Bryant Zermeno married the love of his life on September 2, 1984 in Houston, TX. Shortly after their marriage they welcomed four beautiful daughters. Mery & Bryant made sure Christ was always at the center of their marriage and family. They made it their mission to raise their daughters in a loving and faith filled home. Mery & Bryant were happily married for 26 years before God called him home on December 30, 2011.
Mery was a passionate Sunday School teacher, you would often find her sitting in the dining room table preparing lesson plans for her class. She loved to talk to her family and friends and was beginning to dabble into social media. If shopping was an Olympic sport, the gold medal would be awarded to her. Her eyes lit up and she smiled from ear to ear the moment her grandkids came to visit. There was nothing sweeter than the sound of her grandkids calling out for their "Ama". She loved to cook for everyone and was always ready to make arroz con leche for her grandbabies.
On August 21, 2020 she took her last earthly breath surrounded by her daughters and sister Nelly Mariel Galdamez. Bryant was eagerly waiting for her at the gates of heaven. We are sure they went on a walk holding hands. Mery is survived by her four daughters; Jennifer, Brenda, Denise & Cynthia. Son in laws; Leo, Jose, Michael. Grandchildren, Anthony (17), Alex (16), Abigail (12), Kaitlin (11), Lisseth (10), Adalyn (4), Natalie (3), Emily (1). Her siblings, Vithia, Vilma, Mariel & Enrique. She is proceeded in death by her husband Bryant, mother Mery Sara, sister Olga, & brother Jose.
We find comfort in knowing our mom has been reunited with her long lost loved ones. She is now with her loving husband, where they can both watch over their daughters and family while praising God in his presence.
