Mr. Michael (Mike) Robert Fecht, of Houston, Texas, who grew up in San Jose, California, was born on September 11, 1956 in San Angelo, Texas, to the late Bobbie JoAnn Stone (Jody Barton) and Lloyd LaVern Dent. Mike passed away peacefully after a hard fought battle with cancer at age 62 on December 16, 2018 in Houston, Texas at his home with family by his side. Mike attended San Jose City College and worked in the Quick Service Restaurant industry since his teens. He spent most of his life as the owner/operator at Chick-fil-A Memorial City Mall.
Mike was the beloved husband of Sean Broze Fecht; former husband of Lisa Ann Conn. He is preceded in death by LeeAnn Marie Fecht, and Ashley Alynn (Aly) Vikos. He is survived by his sons, Tyler Christsean Vikos and Mason Riley Fecht; daughters, JoAnn Marie Fecht, RoseAnn Marie Fecht, and Lauren Alyssa Fecht; brothers, Russ Fecht and Larry Dent; sisters, Sue Araujo, Melissa Fadeley, Beth Dent, and Renee Workman; and grandchildren, Haylee Hughes, Hunter Hughes, Holton Hughes, Jennie Pumilia, Holly Hughes, Joseph G. Pumilia III, and Michael Pumilia. He also leaves behind his greatly loved dog, Marco. Michael's hobbies were family cruises, relaxing on the beach, and cleaning the pool. He was a proud Eagle Scout, a member at Kingsland Baptist Church, and a board member of the Houston Restaurant Association.
Donations in Michael's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital are welcome and appreciated.
Friends and family can pay their respects at the visitation on Tuesday, December 18 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas, 77079. A funeral service, (and reception to follow immediately after), will take place on Wednesday, December 19 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Kingsland Baptist Church, officiated by Ryan Rush, 20555 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, Texas, 77450.
Mike will be laid to rest on Thursday, December 20 at 3:00 p.m. at Restland Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3307 Monroe Hwy, Pineville, Louisiana.
