Michael would like to let you know his work on earth is done. He received an invitation, an offer he could not refuse, for an assignment that comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends he was waiting to see. Michael knew his dog, Murphy, would be joyously awaiting him along with his grandmother Dottie whom he never met here on earth and Pappau Ted. With job security at 110 percent, Michael’s new mission has taken him to a wonderful place where he will be socializing with all of heaven. Music, joyous dancing and glorious activities will be guaranteed. Food will be a banquet of the very best, never gaining an ounce and always on time. His favorite desserts of Dirt Cake and Buttermilk Pie will be plentiful. No good thing will Michael be denied in his new heavenly home.
We want you to know that Michael was a “peacemaker” and did a great job on earth and we will miss him. We will all miss that wonderful smile and laugh along with a heart of reconciliation. His niece, Natalie was the apple of his eye and nothing to her would he deny. Michael was so proud of her and wanted to teach her to drive but Natalie’s parents decided that was a task better left to them. Michael and Natalie settled on “pogo stick” time together instead. Michael found his nephew Zachary to be everything in academic studies he was not – especially math and bragged on Zachary a lot. To Natalie and Zachary, Michael was simply “Unc”.
Michael leaves here on earth his parents – Michael G. Shipper Sr. and wife Cindy along with step-sister Aubrey Messmann. His mother, Nina S. Davey and husband Skip Davey. His best friend in life and sister, Jennifer Taylor, husband Mark, Natalie and Zachary. Michael’s brother, Christopher who gave Michael the nickname “Bubba” and adored him. Extended family, relatives and friends are many and will miss our Michael.
The family would like to express eternal gratitude to Ben Taub Level I Trauma Center Hospital, Dr. Eric Silberfein along with an incredible team of the best physicians, surgeons and nurses in the world. They were the limbs and heart of a compassionate, loving God.
