

Michael "Mikey" S. Paylor, age 59, of Cypress, Texas went to be with our lord and Savior Jesus Christ, after battling a long illness, on April 19, 2025. Mikey Paylor was born in Houston, Texas December 10, 1965, seven minutes before his twin brother, Marty Paylor, to parents Frank "Scotty" and Judy Paylor.
He graduated from Cy-Fair High School in 1984 where he accomplished many things. He was a member of the FFA program where he qualified to show his rabbits and chickens at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in 1981, he was also a proud bull rider in the Cy-Fair Rodeo. After completing the Auto Mechanics Co-Op program, he began working at Doug Russell Chevrolet, starting his career as an auto mechanic. Mikey later found his second home working at O’Reilly Auto Parts. He was a member of the Rosehill Social Club and looked forward to helping each year.
Mikey enjoyed listening to good old country music, gardening, watching PBR, rodeos, working on cars, fishing, playing dominoes and video games. Mikey had a big heart; he loved his family and friends. He enjoyed talking to everyone he met, because he never met a stranger.
Mikey had one natural child, daughter Monica Van Atten, which he loved with all his heart. He also had children through marriage which he loved and accepted as his own. Mikey was proud to be PawPaw to his grandson Flair Rasch and granddaughters Shauna and Aubree Chatham.
Mikey is proceeded in death by his grandparents, and parents, father: Frank "Scotty" Paylor, mother: Judy Paylor, twin brother: Martin "Marty" S. Paylor, cousin: Julie Finley, sister-in-law: Sue Kirkham, father-in-law: Norman D. Neeley Sr. and grandson: Kellen E. Rasch.
Mikey is survived by his beloved wife: Loti Paylor, daughters: Monica Van Atten, Crystal Peterman and Christina Rasch, son: Paul Peterman and grandson: Flair Rasch, granddaughters: Shauna and Aubree Chatham, sister and husband: Sharon and Harold Frank, brother: Russell "Steve" Paylor, niece and husband: Courtney and Jared Brown, aunt: Susan McCoy and Nancy, cousin: Sam McCoy, along with numerous other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Michael “Mikey” Scott Paylor will be held at 2:00pm on June 4, 2025, at Brookside Cypress Creek Funeral Home, reception will follow.
