A graduate of Kashmere High School, Michael was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his wife, Leonora Rubit; his sisters, Norma A. Charles and Sajuana D. Thornton; his brothers, Mel T. Rubit and Arnold L. Rubit; his daughters, Jennifer Pena’, Salina Chavez, and Christine Chavez; and his sons, Jim Chavez and Michael Darien Rubit. He also leaves behind 19 grandchildren—13 grandsons
and six granddaughters—as well as five great-grandchildren.
Michael’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.
