Michael Edward Settle went to be with his Lord on August 22, 2017. He was born on February 18, 1951 in Denton, Texas to parents Joe Edward and Laverne Myree Settle. Michael was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Settle. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Rosa Settle; four children, Theresa Settle, Michelle Maley-Settle and husband Michael, William Rodriguez and wife Dilma, Erica Vences and husband Jose; eleven grandchildren, Tanner Whitmire, Haley Whitmire, Madison Carnahan, Jordan Settle, Aaron Rodriguez, Jessica Rodriguez, Jacqueline Vences, Miguel Vences, Martin Vences, Jennifer Vences, Carmelo Vences; and two great grandchildren, Damian Whitmire, Cameron Whitmire and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, September 8, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm; and a funeral service Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:00 am in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home; followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
