MICHAEL EDMUND YANOWSKI, 60, passed away on June 28, 2010.Mike was born to Edmund and Ruth Yanowski on July 29, 1949. He was a Houston native and lifelong resident. Mike was a graduate of St. Thomas High School class of 1967 and always remained an actively involved alumnus. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.Mike was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 32 years, Beth Collins Yanowski; his father; and his brother, Joe Yanowski; and father-in-law, Robert Collins.He is survived by his daughter, Laura Yanowski Richard and husband Michael; his mother, Ruth; his mother-in-law, Betty Collins; four sisters; one sister-in-law; five brothers-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and many close family friends. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 until 8 PM on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, with a Rosary at 7 PM. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10 AM at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church, 13350 Ashford Point Drive.A graveside service and committal will immediately follow in Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift donation may be made in Mike's name to St. Thomas High School, 4500 Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77077.
