

Miguel Ángel Gil, age 53, was born on January 19, 1972, in Mexico City and entered eternal rest on October 23, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. Affectionately known as "Mike," Mike was a devoted husband and father whose greatest pride was his family. A hardworking man, he made it his life's mission to provide for and protect his loved ones.
Miguel moved to the USA when he was young, and continued on his schooling to eventually graduate with a Bachelor's degree from Houston Baptists University and a master's degree from Texas A&M. He started his career off as a teacher for many years at HISD, such as at Crespo Elementary. He continued a career in education by being a sales representative to various companies, which included Rigby, Caroline, National Geographic, BIOZONE, and Gardyn, who helped provide schools with the best science/math textbooks and products.
He was an avid fan of the Red Sox and Star Wars, never missing a chance to cheer them on. He loved watching science fiction and fantasy movies along with spending time with his kids by spreading that love of fantasy. He loved music, movies, and enjoyed spending time watching sports. A true family man, Mike always put his loved ones first—he was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need.
He is survived by his wife Martha Isabel Gil; his children, Bianca L. Gil, Angel David Gil, Karlo Antonio Gil, Yovani Isrrael Gil, Karen Isabel Gil; his mother, Maria Oliva Maldonado; and his brothers, Robert Gil and Jesus Gil.
Mike will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His warmth, generosity, and unforgettable sense of humor will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, located at 4136 Broadway St, Houston, TX 77087, on October 30, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at the same location on October 31, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Following the funeral service, a committal service will be held at Forest Park Lawndale, located at 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, on October 31, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
