Miguel Giron Sr. joined heaven on April 25th, 2024. Many who have had the pleasure of meeting Miguel may know that he was a hard working man, a stern man, or a playful man, but first and foremost, he was a loving father and grandfather.
Miguel was born in Honduras, and grew up with his family in El Salvador; he then moved to the United States in search of a better life. He came to United States in 1974, at 23 years old, wherein he settled at Houston, Texas. Along his journey here, he met his loving wife and mother of his kids, Irma Nieto. Despite the hardship of his childhood he was able to work and persevere for himself and for his family. He turned the tide for his family, being the example of a man that took life and matters in his own hands and created the life he wanted for himself and those around him.
Miguel lived an amazing life; Miguel was a lover of music of all genres. He played his music at all times, and its the way he found peace. His music was played so often that his daughter, Karina Giron, and son, Miguel Giron, would memorize the lyrics. He loved watching all sports, even if his favorite Houston teams would lose at all times. Miguel is also someone who took pride in taking care of his health; he would walk 5 miles each day, no matter how he felt that day. He wanted to live a long, healthy life and take care of his body.
Miguel would fill the whole room with his presence with his grand personality. He was one of a kind. His cheerful, playful spirit always uplifted and entertained those around him. He provided an amazing life for his kids, with the help of his supporting wife; making sure that they received the education that he never did, and that he set them up for success. Above all, he truly is a man that was always meant to be a father. He assumed the provider role so effortlessly, and really represented a symbol of strength and was a pillar holding his family together. His legacy will carry on through his children and grandchildren, that were instilled to work hard as much as he did and to love and keep his family together.
