Mitchell Lee Shivers passed away on Thursday morning, August 23, 2012. He was born on October 16, 1923 in Orangefield, Texas. He was the second of eight children born to Lonnie and Leila Shivers of Hull, Texas. Mitchell served as an Air Force pilot in World War II, received a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Texas and was employed by Exxon for 37 years. Mitchell L. Shivers is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Claudine Craig Shivers; 2 children, Linda Glenn and Craig Shivers; grandchildren, Laura Bronson, Craig Shivers Jr., Scott Shivers and great-grandchildren, Brent Coupe, Conner and Luke Shivers and Jonathon and Penelope Shivers. The Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2012 from 8-9 am at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will follow at 9 am.
