A vibrant and fun loving man, Mitch was always the life of the party. He was known for his endless smile and love of football, baseball, beaches, and spending time with his friends. Growing up, Mitch was an All-Star pitcher with a killer knuckle ball that would strike out even the most seasoned players. He spent time traveling, hanging out with his friends and as he would say, “driving his Ma crazy” with his hilarious antics.
After attending Sam Houston State, he worked for over 20 years as a Head Pressman for a printing company in Houston. One of his best party tricks was telling a color mix just by glancing at it. He also worked with his best friends, inciting much good humor in the workplace.
Mitch led a vivacious, full life and had a knack for making people feel at ease and laugh until they cried. He was a loved uncle who spent many of his days hanging out with his family and teaching his niece and nephew to “do as I say, not as I do”! Even though Mitch loved to have a great time, he was also one of the kindest individuals you would ever meet. If it meant it would help someone, Mitch would gladly give them the shirt off his back.
Mitch loved history and knowledge and was always looking to learn and expand his horizons. Anyone who knew him could tell you how much he enjoyed learning about the World Wars and new inventions. He also possessed an unending knowledge of football and, like most Americans, loved watching Sunday football and rooting for his favorite teams.
Even though he is no longer in this life, his family and friends will never forget the smile and personality that lit up rooms and made people who briefly met him remember him forever. Heaven is that much brighter for a man who’s soul was just too full to be here for much longer. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. All of whom are probably laughing with him right now as he enters Heaven in his favorite outfit, a brightly colored Hawaiian shirt, shorts and flip flops with socks!
He is survived by his sister, Kim Vincent, and her husband Glen Vincent, nephew Kyle Vincent, and niece Whitney Saadi and her husband Mohamed. He left his friends, Mark and Stephanie Schumacher, Larry Roy, Rudy and Silvia Guerrero and many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss his exuberant personality.
A celebration of life will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home at 13001 Katy Freeway Houston, Texas 77079 on Tuesday, September 10, 2019. Visitation will be from 9-10 AM, celebration at 10:00 AM and please join us to tell stories of our beloved Mitch (and his many antics!) from 11 AM - 1 PM.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Schumacher, Larry Roy, Rudy Guerrero, Glen Vincent, Kyle Vincent, and Mohamed Saadi.
With this vibrant of a person, we ask that you honor Mitch by wearing your brightest Hawaiian outfits as we celebrate his amazing and full life!
