

Mollie Ann Johnson Calley went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 2, 2012. She was born on September 20, 1943 in Houston, Texas to her parents, Claude and Rene Johnson. She married Charles Leon Calley on March 11, 1967 and had one child, Carrie Shannon Calley.
Mollie earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from University of Houston. She worked for several years as an elementary school teacher and taught children in her church as well. She was a firm believer in the value of education and wanted to pass that along to others.
Mollie and Leon were active members of Houston’s First Baptist Church where she enjoyed her many friends and activities. She was involved with The Piecemakers quilting group, A New Journey class, Phase 2 widows group, CanHope support group, and many other ministries.
Mollie was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Leon Calley. She is survived by her daughter, Carrie Calley Fronek, her husband, Steve Fronek, and two great granddaughters, Emily and Allie Fronek.
Mollie was a strong believer, steady in her Christian faith, had many friends with whom she enjoyed living life, and loved her family immensely, especially her two granddaughters with whom she had a close relationship. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given in Mollie’s name to Houston’s First Baptist Church Pastoral Care to be dispersed to various ministries important to her. Houston’s First Baptist Church Pastoral Care, 7401 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77024.
