

On June 10, 2018 Jack Woodard Jr, 72 passed away peacefully while resting at home with his wife Mary Woodard by his side. He was born in Baytown, Texas on August 22, 1945. He was raised in Plantersville, Texas. He graduated from George Washington Carver High School. After graduating he joined the United States Marines Corps. He was awarded with a Purple Heart and several other honors while fighting for his country. In his previous union of marriage to Shirley Woodard were born twin sons. Jack Jarriell and Jack Jordane. He worked as a truck driver for 14 years at Safeway and Blue Ribbon. He then became an independent driver for the last 11 years before retiring. He was an active member of The American Legion Post 416 NABVETS #36 Buffalo Soldiers, and TRP Alumni. He was an active Deacon at Greater St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church pastored by Pastor Robert Willis. He is proceeded in death by his father Jack Woodard Sr., his Mother Elizabeth Brown, Brother John Brown, Sister Odessa Washington, and Daughter Tammy Johnson. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Mary Woodard (sons Stephen Carr and Willie Jackson), His sons Jack Jarriell (wife Shonetorehahi), Jack Jordane (Wife Tina) and David Roy, His Sisters Haddie and Cherry Brown, grandchildren Jamecia Woodard, Terriell Woodard, McKenzie Woodard, Tyrus Woodard, Devin Roy, Nikeighdra Johnson, Elizabeth Roy, Trevor Roy, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
