Mr. Terry Edmonson

On February 16, 1957, in Zwolle, Louisiana, God blessed Mahalia Johnson and Ponder Edmonson with a wonderful son, whom they named Terry Edmonson. He was the  Terry accepted Christ at an early age at St. Peter’s Baptist Church in Fisher, Louisiana. Terry graduated from Many High School and continued on to receive his CDL license.  Terry relocated to Houston and met Barbara Jerkins.  April 14, 1977, Terry and Barbara united in matrimony.  In this forty year union they were blessed with three children.  Terry was employed at Vitro Glass Company for 30 plus years as a driver and supervisor.  Terry enjoyed being a mechanic as well as cooking for family and friends.    Preceded in death by four grandparents – Andrew (Josie), Louis (Decie), Seven uncles – Johnny, Joe, LJ, Andrew Jr, Frank, Willis, Lee, J.D, Five aunts – Dorothy, Louvenia, Lessie, Annie, Clettie.   He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife Barbara, four children – Terrance (Jessica), Kreshonda (Quentin), LaCosha, and Terreca.  Two wonderful parents Ponder and Mahalia. Also his beloved five grandchildren, Seven sisters – Patricia (Charles), Nescie (Malcolm), Orangie (George), Bertha, Emma (Ron), Kimberly (Sinclair), and Carlonda (James).  Two brothers – Carlos (Kajuanna) and Patrick. A host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
