

Olive Leonard-Miles was born on January 26, 1958 to the late Gus and Florence Leonard in Quitman, Louisiana. Olive was the eighth child of the children. Her praying parents taught her the way of the Lord at an early age, she accepted Christ. Olive was proud mother of three remarkable boys whom she loved very dearly. She was married to Jesse Miles in Houston, TX on March 8, 1983. Olive and Jesse had a bond that could not be broken. Olive love cooking which lead her to begin working at Canterbury Nursing Home as Head-Dietary Cook. She remained there for about 30 years, she literally ran the place. She was a very hardworking woman, loving grandmother, sister, friend and last but not least best mother anyone could ever have. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Florence Leonard, her brothers Joseph and Daniel Leonard, and sister Florence Bryant, her beloved husband Jesse Miles. She leaves to cherish her memories her three sons: Reginald Leonard (Regina) of Houston, TX; Antonio Leonard (Shelia) of Houston, TX; Thomas Leonard, her grandchildren, (Xavier Leonard, Jasmine Leonard, Tyanah Linzy, Krystal Leonard, Krystain Leonard, Kendrick Leonard and KyAndre Leonard), her great grandson Zane Leonard and also her three sisters Irene Bryant of Jonesboro, LA; Mary Leonard (Jeffrey), Jo An Mitchell both of Houston, TX; and two brothers Henry Leonard (Lucinda)of Lakeview Terrace, CA; Arguster Leonard(Erika)of Numberg, Germany; and two aunts Minne O’Burton of Palmdale, CA; and Mattie McConnell of Jonesboro, LA and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
