Naila Ramzi Seif

Naila was born on the 27th of April 1952, in Cairo, Egypt. She did her undergraduate studies at Cairo University and graduate studies in Mathematics at University of California, Berkeley. She fell in love with her husband Kamal Guiha in Cairo and they moved together to the United States. She had a long and successful career at HP and was a strong advocate for women in technology. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed for her wit, intelligence, and kind and loving heart.

Naila is survived by her brother, Hani Seif of Paris, France, her son Alexander Guiha and his wife Alena Gribskov of New York, NY, her daughter Isabella Billings née Guiha and her husband Pershing Billings of San Diego, California, and her cousins Mona, Laila, and Mounir Neamatalla of Cairo, Egypt. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kamal Guiha.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at one o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 4th of October, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2140 Westheimer Road in Houston with Fr. David Zapalac, CSB, officiating.

Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family and continue celebrating Naila's life during a reception in the Parlor and Pavilion of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.

Kindly note: (As a convenience for those planning on attending the reception, an escorted cortege movement will depart St. Anne Catholic Church en route to Geo. H. Lewis & Sons for the reception).

Private family rite of committal and interment will be held at a later date in Cairo, Eygpt.
