Nancy Jo, as her family and friends referred to her, attended Stephen F Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas, and majored in art , art history, and English. She worked as a legal assistant for Holladay, Mullins, & Bray law firm for over 20 years. Nancy Jo was also an author of one autobiography titled “ My Silent Child”, along with many memoirs, prose, tales, and narratives. She was also an abstract artist, and in her younger years had many art showings with her pieces hanging and being shown in local galleries in the Houston Texas area. Nancy was a lover of all music genres as well.
Her love for animals was exceptional as she rescued horses and dogs. Any given day, you could find Nanci just sitting along a hay bale, enjoying, watching her horses run, roam, and graze. She was an avid dog rescuer as well. There was never a dog she didn’t fall in love with.
