

Nasir Mukhtar, age 51, of Houston, Texas passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. Nasir was born July 23, 1970 to Muhammad Mukhtar Chaudhry and Dr. Khurshid Chaudhry at United Christian Hospital in Lahore Pakistan. Following his graduation from Crescent Model School in Lahore, he attended Moorhead State University in Minnesota where he met his wife of almost 27 years, Michelle. The two of them lived in the Twin Cities for many years before moving to Houston in 2001. He joined GE in 2005, which took him from Houston to Milwaukee and back to Houston again. During that time Nasir became a father to son Zak in 2003 and daughter Sophia in 2007. Nasir approached fatherhood like he approached everything in his life – with zest, passion and love, and his children are greater for it. Most recently Nasir was a director with KPMG.
Nasir was blessed with a loving and tight-knit family. He is survived by his wife Michelle, son Zak, daughter Sophia, brother Amer, sister Fareeha, beloved Mamoon uncle, many treasured aunties, dear Chacha uncle, several cousins, nieces and nephews, and countless friends. Nasir loved his family dearly, and he will be desperately missed. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Nasir’s life will take place on Sunday, March 6 at 2:00 pm at Holy Name Passionist Retreat Center, 430 Bunker Hill Rd, Houston, TX 77024 with a reception to follow. A graveside service and burial will be held on Monday, March 7th at 3:00 pm at the Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079.
