Necterine Smith Parker

Necterine Smith Parker, age 90, of Houston, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday February 19, 2018. Necterine was born July 18, 1927 in Nacogdoches, Texas. On August 12, 1949 Necterine married Glen Parker.

Necterine worked for Houston Gasket and Packaging for many years in the clerical administration department. Necterine will be truly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her great-great grandchild.

Necterine is survived by; sons, Ronald Glen Parker, Kennth Cornel Parker, Darwin Wade Parker, grandchildren, Roshelle E. Parker and Christin A. Walters and husband B.J., great-grandchildren, Autumn Lowe, Aaron Lowe, Naomi Walters, Ethan Walters, Levi Walters, great-great grandchild, Khole Lowe and her numerous nieces and nephews.

Necterine was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Parker, parents, W.J "Joe" Smith Sr. and LouElla Smith, brother W. J. "Dubb" Smith and wife Doris; sister, Gwendolyn Ferguson; great-nephew, Ryan Smith; brother-in-law, Robert Donald "Joe" Ferguson.

A visitation for Necterine will be held Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Brookside Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Monday, February 26, 2018 from 2:00 pm, at Brookside Funeral Home. A committal service will occur following the service at Brookside Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers are Jimmie Lowe, Robin Smith, Chris Smith, James Anderson, Bruce Hooper, Ricki Finstad and Mike Matthews.
