Ruth is preceded in death by her loving husband Jerry Joe Dawson; father, Johnnie Lee Thomason; mother, Ellen Medoria Mercer Thomason; sister, Linda Coleen Pope. Left to cherish her memories: children: Margaret Ellen Dawson Johnson, Melissa Dawn Dawson Carpenter, Christopher Wayne Dawson, Leon Joseph Dawson, Timothy Allen Dawson, Robert Anthony Dawson; siblings: Ronald LeeThomason, Clyde Earl Thomason, Barbara Ellen Thomason Conroy; grandchildren: Jacob Cullen Johnson, Ethan Michael Johnson, Brian Leigh Burk, William Thomas Carpenter III, Matthew Christian Carpenter, Rylan Hunter Dawson. Memorial Service will be held 3:00PM, Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Brookside Funeral Home Chapel.
