Nora Velma Osborne

Her final days were surrounded by family and friends, love and laughter.

Nora was born in Borger, TX on April 28, 1931 to James Walter Immel and Doneta Davis Immel. One of 3 beautiful daughters: Pearl and her twin sister Dora.

She was the beloved wife of the late, John Wesley Osborne for 67 years. He preceded her in death on February 18, 2014. What a fairy tale love story. John and Nora raised their 3 precious children: Johnny, Sandra and Ricky in Borger, TX.

Nora is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, John; sisters: Pearl and twin Dora; her beloved grandson that brought much laughter and sunshine to her life.

She is survived by her son, John Osborne and wife Stephanie; daughter, Sandra Danser and husband John; son, Rickey Osborne and wife Gloria; grandchildren: Tonia, Nathan, Wesley and Allison; 13 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchilren. Her genrous heart filled their home with love, family and friends. She leaves all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with the knowledge that they were extremely loved. We are honored to have been given the gift of being their as well as being her children.

Nora's family would like to extend our sincere thanks to Emeritus and the staff for their love and special care for our mother, grandmother and great grandmother. We would also like to send a special thank you to Judy Stokes for her dear smiles and sweet spirit that she showed our mother. The family would also like to extend our gratitude to Lifepointe Hospice for their support and prayers; for their diligence in making her wish come true and get her home.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm, Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Family Chapel of Brookside Funeral Home. A Reception will follow at Emeritus Senior Living, 24025 Kingwood Palce Dr., Kingwood, TX 77339.
