Norma was born in Allende, Nuevo León, one of eleven children born to Oliverio Gonzalez and Laurentina Tamez de Gonzalez. She grew up alongside her siblings Claudia, Ermelinda, Juani, Kiko, Maney, Juan, Cristal, Oliverio, Miguel, and Tello.
Looking for a better life, Norma came to the United States with her husband, Baudelio, and their three children—Israel, Roland, and Gynee. She worked hard throughout her life, taking on jobs as a custodial manager and seamstress, and even earned her cosmetology license. But her most important work was raising her family and later caring for her grandchildren.
Norma loved to cook and spend time gardening, but nothing brought her more happiness than caring for her family, especially her grandchildren Lauren, Adam, and Arianna. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Rose Santibanez whom she loved and welcomed as family.
Her presence was a comfort to everyone around her, and she made her home a safe place where all felt welcomed and loved. She had a way of making everyone feel like they belonged, treating each person who visited like family.
Norma brought joy wherever she went. She had a heart of gold and was truly an angel on earth. She was selfless and loving, always putting others before herself. She was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
