In Loving Memory of Northera Anne Duvall, a beautiful, funny, and deeply spiritual woman. Known as Anne, Mom, Banana and GG to her family and friends, she was not only our kind and selfless matriarch, but also a guiding light in our lives.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children Julie Carmouche and Kelly Carmouche (Natalie) grandchildren: Jude and Ava Carmouche; brother, David Duvall; sister, Martha Louise “Lou” Duvall; as well as numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents John Alderson Duvall and Martha Belle Smallwood.
After her formative years spent in St. Amant, Louisiana she moved to Baton Rouge, where she resided for 25 years before finally settling in Houston for the last six years of her life to be close to her cherished grandchildren, Jude (9) and Ava (5). Among the many roles she embraced, being their "GG" brought her immeasurable joy. She would go to great lengths to make them laugh and smile, often dressing up in costumes, donning face paint, or sporting crazy headbands at all our family gatherings.
Anne dedicated 37 years of hard work as a senior underwriter demonstrating unwavering commitment and expertise in her profession. However, her true passion lay in her devotion to her family and her faith in Jesus. She nurtured and raised her favorite people, Julie (41) and Kelly (40), always prioritizing their needs above her own, exhibiting grace and dignity in all her actions. The loss of her unconditional love and unwavering support leaves our hearts shattered, as she never hesitated to offer them freely. Though we grieve her absence, we consider ourselves fortunate to have the best guardian angel one could ever hope for, watching over us until we are reunited again.
We will deeply miss her lively spirit, her kind laugh and warm heart but it is with those memories that she lives on in our hearts and will never be forgotten.
We extend an invitation to all family and friends to join us in a celebration of Anne’s life on July 16, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. to be held at Mike Anderson's. We kindly request your presence, as we come together to share hugs, memories, and stories that will bring comfort and joy as we remember the remarkable person Anne was.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Bridge of Hope in Anne’s memory. This gesture will help carry forward her spirit of kindness and selflessness, making a positive impact on the lives of others, just as she did throughout her own life.
Anne, Mom, Banana and GG, we love you. Your legacy of devotion and love will forever live on in our hearts. May you rest in eternal peace as you continue to watch over us from above.
