Ole Carroll Donaho III, a beloved and devoted husband, passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on March 20, 1943, in Houston, Texas, Ole was known for his adventurous spirit, kind-hearted nature, and unwavering loyalty. A selfless and hard-working man, he was cherished by all who knew him.
Ole was a resident of Houston, Texas. From 1961 to 2021 was an independent insurance agent beginning his career as the second generation in a family insurance agency. He was an active member of his community. His enthusiasms included Sprint car racing, cooking, and barbecuing for friends, events and special occasions. He travelled many miles towing his professional 15 foot reverse flow offset smoker. For 25 years, he was a dedicated member of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, exemplifying his compassionate and caring nature. He was also a member of Bellaire Southwest Houston Rotary.
In 1992, Ole met his late wife, Sarah Donaho, at a Rotary Convention in Lafayette, Louisiana. The couple married on April 19, 1995, and shared a life full of love and adventure. Ole and Sarah enjoyed traveling and going on cruises, with one of their favorite trips being a 32-day cruise to Australia, Tasmania, and New Zealand.
Ole was preceded in death by his loving wife Sarah on September 6, 2025.
Ole is survived by his son, Mark Donaho and his wife Stephanie and their 3 children, his brother, Kem Donaho and his sister-in-law, Marilyn Morris and her husband David. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the honor of knowing him.
