Olga Morales King, aged 89, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Born on February 15, 1935, in Tampico, Mexico, she is survived by her daughter, Yvonne Andrews; son-in-law, Mark Andrews; grandson, Philip Andrews; and granddaughter, Christy Hiance.
Olga graduated from a private Catholic high school and had a love for the Bible and God from a young age. In addition, she grew up loving fashion and art. Upon graduation, she worked as an office manager for Pemex Engineering in Mexico. During that time she met her late husband, Paul King. Paul was working as an army officer when they met and they got married shortly afterward. Olga and Paul were happily married for 44 years.
Olga also worked in education for 15 years at the Alief School District and later became a store manager for a retail fashion store owned by her daughter. Olga will be remembered as a warm woman with a beautiful smile, who loved and cared for others. She had a heart of compassion and often spoke of God’s goodness and mercy. Olga was a born-again Christian who loved to profess God’s goodness. She gave thanks to God everyday by saying “Thank you, Jesus” out loud.
Olga’s final days were spent at West Oaks Terrace, living independently among her many friends whom she loved very much. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is now with God, her Father whom she knew very well. Olga has entered eternal rest in His loving arms, reuniting with her husband and beloved dog, Lola.
A celebration of Olga’s life will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home and Cemetery, with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m.
