Oliver Eugene Johnson, affectionately known as "Gene" was born on July 1, 1950 in Houston, Texas to Willie Johnson, Sr. and Robbie Jackson Johnson. He was the fifth of eight children. Eugene attended George Washington Carver High School. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years and later decided to become an independent automobile mechanic until his retirement. On the early morning of December 29, 2015, Oliver Johnson was called home by his FATHER to his eternal resting place. Eugene was preceded in death by his loving parents, Willie Johnson, Sr. and Robbie Jackson Johnson; brothers, Willie Johnson, Jr. and Robert Johnson. He leaves to cherish his precious memories: two brothers, Vernon Johnson (Janet) and Melvin Johnson, all of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Marie McIntyre, Houston, Texas, Patricia Fuller and Brenda Nelson of Waller, Texas. He also leaves to cherish his laughter and memories with a host of nieces, aunts, cousins, and friends.
