Oneida Collier

Oneida Collier, born April 10, 1925 in Hope Arkansas. passed into eternal rest on February 28, 2016 in Hemphill, Texas. Oneida loved BIG- God, family, fun, food, camping, fishing, art, shopping and especially kids and babies. She loved when school was out so the grandkids would come for the summer. She was an artist and loved to draw and paint. Oneida was non-judgmental, but very opinionated. Always ready to go, they nicknamed her "Go Nita." As far as she was concerned, a car was only good for one thing--put gas in it and go.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Collier and sons: Howard and Larry. Left to cherish her memories are daughter, Cindy Collier; daughter-in-law, Trisha Collier; Courtney's father, Carl Morris; grandchildren: Courtney Collier, Savonya Collier, Eddie Collier; great-grandchildren: Kayla Collier, Courtny Collier; great-great-grandchildren: Megan Collier, Essmie Ugalde, Emily Ugalde; great-great-great-grandchildren: Miracle Collier, Ryan Patlan; nieces: Sandra, Gene, Melba, Wanda, Jo, Jeremy, Betty and nephews: Sonny and Buddy.

Services will be at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm to 3:00pm with the funeral service at 3:00pm and internment following in Brookside Memorial Park.
