

Ottilie "Otti" Emilie Zeier, loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend passed away on Saturday, the 5th of December 2015, at the age of 82. She was born in Hanau, Germany to the late Fritz and Maria Winheim Fischlein.
Along with her loving and devoted husband, Gene, they lived in many cities and loved traveling throughout the world. Las Vegas, where they celebrated many momentous occasions, held a special place in her heart. Otti’s passions in life included knitting, gardening, cooking, listening to music and animals. She had a very special bond with her grandchildren, and enjoyed spending cherished quality time with them while playing card games. Otti was a light in everyone’s life she touched and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Gene William Zeier Sr.; her son, Gene William Zeier Jr., daughter, Nancy Zeier Nowlan and her husband, John Louis Nowlan, and daughter, Susan Marie Rodman; ten grandchildren, Brittany Suzanne Zeier, Jennifer Johnson Beasley and her husband, Robert Benson Beasley, Leslie Marie Zeier, Catherine Marie Rodman, Christopher James Rodman, Michelle Jean Zeier, Christine Elizabeth Nowlan, David James Nowlan, Matthew Zeier Rodman and Lauren Emilie Nowlan; two great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Alexia.
A celebration of Otti’s life will be conducted at twelve o’clock noon on Friday, the 11th of December 2015, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family and celebrate Otti’s life during a reception that will be held in the adjacent grand foyer.
