

Pamela (FInney) Ellegood Kelly, 79, died Jan. 13, 2025 from complications of lung cancer. Pam was born in 1945 to Doris and John Finney in Dallas, TX. She graduated from Edwardsville (Ill.) High School in 1963 and started her studies at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill. Pam worked at the GE Pavilion at the 1964 World’s Fair in New York. Pam and Tom Ellegood were married in 1967 and moved to Lawrenceville, Ill. Their daughter Monica was born in 1973 and the family moved to Houston in 1976. Pam acquired her license as a Realtor in 1978 and the family moved to Katy, Tex., in 1981. Pam was a multimillion dollar producer Realtor and made multitudes of friends through her career, her neighborhoods, and her interests in golf, reading, games, travel and spirituality. Tom died suddenly in 1996. In 2003, Pam married Joe Kelly, who died in 2021.
Pam is survived by her beloved daughter Monica Ellegood and her partner David Brandl, her siblings Jan Forster (husband Wayne), Carol Finney (partner Jim Beerstecher), Dee Finney (partner Carlos Rascon), Paul Finney (wife Cynthia) and Danielle Baker (husband David), siblings-in-law Joyce Ellegood Kellogg and Toby Ellegood (wife Valerie), nine nieces and nephews and eight great nieces and nephews and her dear kitty, Coco.
Pam said, please, in lieu of flowers, donate to the St. Faustina Building Fund or to a charity of your choice. Her summary of her life: “She lived, she died, she had a good time.”
Pam’s generosity and positive outlook inspired many. Her dry sense of humor and relentless charm kept her family and caregivers smiling even during her most difficult days.
