Paul David Jacobs

Paul D. Jacobs age 92, passed away on Oct. 29, 2012 in Houston, Tx. Paul was born to Dee E. and Sally Rorex Jacobs on April 8, 1920 in Scottsboro, AL. Paul was a loving husband and father and is survived by his wife of 63 years, Helen F. Jacobs; daughter, Gail and husband Steven Sisco; sister-n-law, Mary Ann Knights. Nieces, Leigh King, Susan Williams. Nephew, Doug Jacobs. He was preceded in death by his mother and step- father, Sally R. and Robert S. Smith. Father, Dee E. Jacobs, brother, and sister-in-law, Thomas and Virginia Jacobs. Paul graduated from the University of Alabama in 1942. He was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He worked for the Austin Co., which transferred him to Houston in 1946 and later went into sales of hardware, sporting goods and guns and ammo. He retired in 1991. Paul was a charter member of the Greater Houston Gun Club, life member of the ATA and a member of the West University Masonic Lodge and has been a member of St. Paul Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years. His hobbies were shooting, hunting, and fishing. Services will be held at St. Paul Presbyterian Church, 7200 Bellaire Blvd. at 11:00 am on Friday, November 2, 2012. Interment : Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul Presbyterian Church
