Paul graduated from high school June 3, 1942. He was married to Elizabeth Virginia Young on February 11, 1949. Paul enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served his country and retired after 20 years. He then worked and retired, from the United States Postal Service, as a letter carrier, after 25 years of employment. Paul also worked in security services and retired after 18 years at the tender age of 81.
Paul is survived by; son Robert Young; daughter Gloria Young; daughter Mary Young-Hunter; and daughter Elizabeth Young, six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, two sisters and one brother.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Elizabeth Virginia Young; son Richard Young and daughter Deborah Reppond; father William Young and mother Mary Young.
A visitation for Paul will be held Friday, February 1, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home - Family Chapel, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A committal service and burial will follow immediately at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
Serving as pallbearers are David Hunter, James Mitchell, Catlin Mowery, Robert Young, Jack Hunter and Greg Bigger.
